Acne – Blackheads

Blackheads are comedones acne

which appear as black dots on the skin surface. Unlike whiteheads, blackheads are small and can stay the same size without necessarily resulting in inflammation. Although they can appear on any part of the skin, they mostly affect the face and arms. If you do not treat them properly, chances are they can develop into either scars or cystic acne.

comedones develop when sebaceous glands produce excess sebum which fills sebaceous duct and the skin pores. When the sebum is mixed with other skin cells, they block the pores leading to inflammation. This results in a button. When the pores are not inflamed, the result is usually a dark spot acne.

treatment of this condition is slightly different from treating other types of buttons. Regular cleaning acne can not erase a black dot, as in this case the affected area is usually not inflamed.

This is not as regular as the other buttons once you control the inflammation, clogged pores can be deleted.

You can use a face mask to treat blackheads. In this treatment, you first wash your face with a hot solution. This helps open the pores, then apply the mask of the face and leave it for a few minutes. When you finally remove it, it will be cleared of excess oil and pores are open. You can add a follow-up lotion as a finishing technique. The lotion help tighten pores. You can also use facial scrubs to treat acne blackheads. The scrubs usually contain granules that are used to exfoliate the skin. Scrubbing removes dead skin cells, which helps open the pores.
